I collect an article about the battle builds of Shaiya , anyone that have interests could have a look . And wish you would like !
The first thing you should know about a battle build is that it is not a hybrid build. You can not be both a tank and a battle build until higher levels. Even then, you can only tank for yourself. You won’t have the defense to be able to hold mobs against your party. A battle build is a solo build, or party with a healer. If a Mage/Pagan sees you soloing and says “party?”, you say “no thanks, I’m a battle build”. Until you’re UM with a very good budget, you won’t be able to be both a party tank and a solo battle build. Even then, you’ll likely be quite weak for killing bosses unless you focus on one or the other. Being an effective hybrid build would be an extremely expensive build and only an option at endgame for UMs. Remember, nothing is stopping casters from finding a tank with more Rec.
That being said, for a battle build in any mode, you should add no Rec at all. Defenders/Guardians already receive 1 Rec per level automatically and have higher passive HP pools than any other class. To top it off, you have invincibility buffs and status debuffs that will ensure that you will never need to add Rec to protect yourself in a standard battle build.
In addition to that, you won’t need as much Dex as your Fighter/Warrior counterpart at higher levels. For regular grinding, you’ll need just as much, but once your AoE skills are maxed out, they diminish the need of Dex. You should still have the same Dex base as a Warrior/Fighter, but you can get away with lapsing less. For regular grinding, 100-150 is enough, but towards the endgame, you’ll want to push that to about 200. However, that is a matter of preference. If you’re not satisfied with 200 Dex, add some more.
With that in mind, your heavy focus is Str. For UM, your focus should be split between Str and Luc. Having a HM Str/Luc build would be very expensive to make feasible, but if you have the money, you can add Luc to your build in later levels. Luck simply isn’t an option for NM. You do not get the stat points in NM to compliment your crits with attack power.
The important thing to know about Luc is that without Str, it is completely useless for a Defender/Guardian. Without attack power to compliment your crits, you’ll have better overall damage just by putting all of your points into Str instead. Luc is also useless unless in large quantities for this same reason. With the skill Bash Lv3, 175 Luc will give you a 50% crit rate. This is the absolute minimum for an effective Luc build. Any less than that and a Str build would result in more damage. Most would prefer to have around 400 Luc. That, with Bash Lv3, is a 95% crit chance. As a personal recommendation, I would stay away from Luc altogether in any mode until you have achieved 600 Str and than shoot for about 300-350 Luc (remember, UM only).
Whichever you end up doing, Str or Str/Luc, the goal is to get as much Str as possible. You need no less than 600 for an effective Str/Luc build, but after that, the sky is the limit. Once you have enough Dex and Luc, dump every remaining point you have into Str. You should reach for at least 600 Str in any mode by endgame. In NM, focus on that Str as a top priority. In HM, you add more Dex into your build. In UM, you can add Luc on top of that. In essence, a successful NM battle build is a heavy Str build, a successful HM is a Str/Dex build, and a successful UM is a Str/Dex/Luc build.

On to stat point distributions per level.
NM: 3 Str 2 Dex per level. This is the standard NM physical damage build for any class. It will offer you the best damage. Any more Str and you miss too often. Any more Dex and you’re not hitting hard enough. Shoot for your optimal Str of 600 before worrying about other stats.
HM: 5 Str 2 Dex per level. Since you already had enough accuracy in NM, all you have to do in HM is pump up your Str even higher. You also get more AoE skills that do not rely on Dex, so do not worry about having more Dex than your NM counterpart. 2 per level is enough.
UM: 7 Str 2 Dex or 3 Str 2 Dex 4 Luc per level. You may find that only 3 Str per level is not enough attack power for your liking. 7 Str 2 Dex will make faster grinding, but 3 Str 2 Dex 4 Luc is better in the end when you can afford the proper lapis to complete your build. You may want to choose 7 Str to start and than restat to 3 Str 4 Luc later. Remember not to attempt a Luc build with less than 600 Str.

 
And that’s the deal with standard battle builds.  I believe you’ll do quite fine on your own and be a recognizable force in PvP. At lower levels, the sheer damage of Fighters/Warriors will always win out but by the time you get the 1-60 zone, you’ve got so many tricks up your sleeves that no other class is harder to take down, even with no Rec at all.

Monster ID System
When deciding what monster to hunt, you can tell how much of a challenge they’ll be by clicking on them once to target them. The name of the monster will appear in one of the following colors, depending upon how difficult they are:
White – 6 or more levels below you, no experience value
Light Blue – 4 or 5 levels below you, extremely low XP value
Blue – 2 or 3 levels below you, low XP value
Green – your level plus or minus one, decent XP value
Yellow – 2 or 3 levels above you, good XP value
Orange – 4 or 5 levels above you, great XP value but a tough fight
Red – 6 or 7 levels above you, great XP value but be prepared to die
Pink – 8 or 9 levels above you, phenomenal XP if you can bring it down
Grey – 10 or more levels above you, run away screaming (no XP value)

 
After you get these message , you must have a clear knowledge of the monsters . Good luck ,and wish you finish your quests fast …

Strategies

In my opinion, mages in Shaiya are more of a PvE class that is also amazingly effective in group PvP. Stay behind everyone else, unleash crazy AoE’s, and be aware of assassins and hunters. The mage, unfortunately, does not do well in individual PvP.
Vs. Priest/Oracle – not much strategy, just hit them with your highest hitting spells, and try to root them. They will throw spells back at you. Priests/oracles have tons of wisdom, so you do low dmg on them, takes very long time to bash their hp. How much wis and hp each party has determines how long the fight will last. Sad thing to say, but you will probably lose. In fact, you can even try switching to daggers and stab them instead because some of them have so much wisdom that your spells just doesn’t do much.
Vs. Ranger/Assassin – ouchie. Ranger/Assassins are probably the best classes for PvP. They interrupt your skills, can make you faint (status effect), kick you, and be invisible and stalk you. You can only run… and they even have a skill that boosts speed. boohoo. Just don’t let them get close to you, root them, etc. It all depends on how well you use your PvP skills. You do have some chance against them.
Vs. Archers/Hunters – pretty bad as well =( they have this skill that drains your mana. And then you’re kinda screwed. However, if they don’t drain your mana, then you have a chance! (because some of them save their skill points, and don’t bother to lvl that skill =P) Run close to them! Because ranged dmg gets reduced to almost half when you’re standing right next to them. Then root, and bash them like crazy.
Vs. Fighter/Warrior – the second their name appears, runaway! then root, hellfire, all 3 wind spells (instant cast ones), while you run some more to give yourself possible another chance to repeat aforementioned spells. It all depends on keyboard control.

If you choose your character as a mage in Shaiya , the following stats maybe helpful to you . You can go or, for a so called mixed build (different amount to different stats), or for one Stat only

 
Amount of stat points per mode

In Normal Mode you’ll get 5 Stat points per level + each level you get automatically 1 more point to Intelligence. In Hard Mode you’ll get 7 Stat points per level + each level you get automatically 1 more point to Intelligence. In Ultimate Mode you’ll get 9 Stat points per level + each level you get automatically 1 more point to Intelligence.

Except the Stat points you get per level, you can get stat pints from PVP ranking (after achieving certain new rank you get certain amount of Stat points)* note u need to get the stat points over PVP NPC located in Apulune (Alliance of Light) \ Iris (Union of Fury)

INT- Intelligence = Affects your magic damage Most spells do certain amount of damage + magic damage WIS – Wisdom = Affects amount of Magic Points (MP), Magical defense (Resistance or short RES), success of magic spell (if It hits/ misses the target) REC- Recovery = Affects amount of Life Points (LP) and your Physical Defense (DEF) LUC- Luck = Affects your critical hit success rate (how often you do criticals) and also a little the Evasion Rate.

Following Stats are not realy usefull for Mages\Pagans, but you may use them for some kind of special build.
STR – Strength = Amount of Physical Damage DEX – Dexterity = Evasion Rate, Physical hit success rate
Example builds

The Following Builds are just examples how you can set your character. You can use them as examples or make completely other kinds of build. Or you can change the used amount of stat points differently by each level
Normal Mode

On this mode u get 5 Stat points per each level (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
Full INT Build – 5 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
Most often used type of NM Mage\Pagan – You will do normal damage, but without adding Gear with WIS you will also often miss

4 INT – 1 WIS

You will do little less damage but u will have more MP and will hit more often
Luck Mage\Pagan – 4 LUC – 1 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

Isn’t adviced as starting build. This type of mage does often criticals and at later levels probably the best damage from NM. If you choose this as starting build u will have it hard to level.
You still can later at higher Level (50+) use Stat Resetting Stone (can be bought over AP or in Apulune (Alliance of Light) \ Iris (Union of Fury)) and Change your previous Build to this one.
REC Mage\Pagan 4 REC – 1 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

Isn’t adviced to make such Build IN NM
You can use Close Combat spells (Fire Torn, Fire Ring…) Pulling Spells (attribute Remove…) and Fast Cast Spells (Most Wind spells – Turbulence, Lightning …)
This type of build has little damage, but has high Defense and can agro monsters (a REC Mage\Pagan can’t replace a Defender\Guardian). You will definitely need party to level such build.

REC Mage\Pagan 4 REC – 1 WIS (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

Only difference from previous build is that you will have also little resistance, but less damage to.
Battle Mage\Pagan 3 STR 2 DEX (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

high Physical Damage and low Magical Damage
Battle Mage\Pagan 4 STR 1 DEX (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

Little Higher the 3 STR but lower Hit Rate
Not really a good build since you can’t compete to any physical attack Class (Fighter\Warrior, Archer\Hunter or Ranger\Assassin)

 
Hard Mode

Offers more possibilities since you get 7 Stat points (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
Full INT Mage\Pagan 7 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
You will do very good magical damage, but without WIS gear you will also miss a lot.
6 INT – 1 WIS (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
6 INT – 1 REC (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
5 LUC – 2 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
5 REC – 2 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
5 REC – 1 INT – 1 WIS (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
5 WIS – 2 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
4 STR – 3DEX (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
5 STR – 2DEX (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

Ultimate Mode

On this mode you will get the highest amount of Stat points, but you can loose your character when dying (and you don’t have a Priest\Oracle to resurrect you or a Resurrection Rune)

9 INT (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
7 INT – 2 WIS (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
7 INT – 2 REC (+1 INT you get per level automatically)
7 INT – 2 WIS (+1 INT you get per level automatically)

You should cast, cast again, run away if mob is near or hits you, then cast again. Particularly as a ranged class, distance is important.
Eventually, rec-mages don’t have to care anymore; they can tank somewhat. Shaiya is also not a potting game. Pots have 30 second delay time, so it’s heals, and then you can’t heal again until 30 secs later. Be prepared, and drink that pot as soon as you feel some pressure.
Don’t wait. Another general thing some people don’t realize is that you can jump and swim in the game. When trying to get to your favorite grind spot, save time by jumping over things or swimming.

There’s a lot of complaint going on about skill interruptions and mages being a weak class. Before you complain, you should reflect first ^^ Except doing PvP, PvE should be no problem for you~
Are you picking the mob in the most strategic location?
Int-mages, always pick the most isolated and distant one, to allow for maximum number of casts and to avoid AoE’s surrounding mobs. Rec-mages, cast your AoE’s into most crowded place, but, you should not run into most crowded area.
My skills keep getting interrupted/ I don’t have enough time to cast my spells?
Remember, skills mostly interrupt by either 1)a mob hitting you, or 2)you run before the skill finishes casting. Avoid doing either, and if surrounded by lots of mobs, keep an eye on the hp bar and run in circles. A higher level technique is to dogde- double hitting S (dodge back), Q (dodge left), E (dodge right).
Mobs get too close before I kill them?
Take note of elemental resistance! Use the skills that deal most damage on a particular mob. Finally, know the cast times of your spells! Cast the one that takes the longest first (when you have max distance), and the instant one last.

The following points are team builds of Shaiya , if you are planned to joinnd a team in this game , you can read this article .

1. Let’s start with the AoE party (Area of Effect). This party should contain a Defender/Guardian to pull mobs and then Taunt, at least one Priest/Oracle to heal the Defender/Guardian and at least one Mage/Pagan to do massive AoE damage. Of course, more Mages/Pagans cause more damage, and more Priests/Oracles can also be useful.
2. Dual parties are also quite common. This party contains a Fighter/Warrior or a Ranger/Assassin for causing damage and a Priest/Oracle to heal. This is a good way to level fast.
3. 1-15 PvPers: the best party should contain mainly Archers/Hunters and Priests/Oracles cause they can do damage from a long distance. Mages/Pagans also have ranged attacks but because of cast time, the are not the best PvP class. However, their roots and AoE attacks are quite good for PvP. Rangers/Assassins and Fighters/Warriors are close ranged characters but can be successful in stunning or tanking in fox form(Evolution). Defenders are the worst PvP characters because of their low attack rate.
4. 20-30 PvP: Now Rangers/Assassins and Fighters/Warriors lead the list, they are the best characters for PvPing here. Mages/Pagans also became better because of their new instant and AoE skills. Priests/Oracles become weaker than in 1-15 PvP because their only strong skill is the Magic Spot. Althoug this fact, they can still heal! Archers/Hunters are also not so strong here. Defenders/Guardians are also weak here. So the best party should contain mainly Rangers/Assassins, Fighters/Warriors and of course Mages/Pagans (and Priests/Oracles for heal).

 
This doesn’t mean that you can’t PvP with your Defender or AoE without an Oracle. The best thing is that the success of a party depends only on you .  Thank you for your attention !

A: Hang in there, at level 10 the game changes a lot, you finally get to get some new stuff and start the PvP aspect.
Q: How do I make money?

A: Tons of ways, the easiest is to kill monsters and take their gold and loot, selling the loot.
Q: I’m SO tired of grinding!

A: So stop, take a break. Sell some loot, do a quest where you don’t have to kill anything. Just jump around and look at the scenery.
Q: Okay, so you see, I’m stuck in the middle of NOWHERE and want to get to civilization, how do I do that?

A: Open your chat box and in the normal channel type /town
Q: What’s the matter, I can’t type in Trade chat?

A: You cannot type in trade chat until you reach level 10.
Q: Does typing in Trade chat cost any money?

A: Nope, totally free.
Q: When do I get my mount?
A: At level 40 you can buy a mount for 11 million gold (yeah, it’s a lot but you don’t waste your gold on useless stuff you’ll have enough) in Apulune/Iris from the Mount Seller.
Q: Why does the game say for 18 and up?

A: That would be for some blood and cussing as well as nudity (yes full fledged nudity, I have not seen it on players but I have on monsters, Mercenary Arachnids to be more specific), there are also sexual themes. A note on the nude monsters, what I have seen, it as from the waist up only, I don’t know if there is anything down further.
Q: Can I fly or anything like that?
A: Nope, although there are some unique features in Shaiya Gold, mostly that it’s a very high quality free game, and it’s PvP system which works like a charm.
Q: My computer is lagging horribly, what should I do?

A: Well, you downloaded the game so I would guess your connection is fast enough, so if you go into the options there is a graphics selection, if you go into there and slide the sliders to the left and unselect the water feature it should help a lot. Remember you have to exit the game and reload it (not re download it) for the settings to work.

Archer

1 Str 4 Luc – Perfect if you are into PVP, as it’ll let you get way too many critical hits. May be a bit hard in the beginning (Especially first 15 levels) but it is worth it, as you’ll be dealing blows as high as mages. It is recommended that you use Dex lapis to upgrade your items though, since this build tends to miss a bit.

3 Dex 2 Str – This is good if you want an easy character. It might get a bit harder towards the higher levels, but there shouldn’t be anything that lapis can’t fix. Damage will be standard, and it will be more accurate, though it doesn’t have the strength in PvP that the first build has. Optimal if you plan on soloing a lot.

Defender

5 Rec – I’ve heard a lot of people say that this build is the best, but frankly I’m not too sure. This build is surely the best though if you plan on doing a lot of AoE, though it’ll be close to impossible to level up alone, since you’ll be missing that damage. This build often goes with Wis lapis to negate magic damage, which will be a bit more common at higher levels.

4 Rec 1 Str / 3 Rec 2 Str- A pretty good build, which gives you a better chance at solo. But on the minus side, it’ll make you a bit less useful in AoE. Though if you equip Rec lapis, the disadvantage should easily be fixed. Wis lapis will also be useful here.

4 Rec 1 Dex / 3 Rec 2 Dex – Ok, if you don’t mind spending hours on each creature, this build is pretty good. You won’t take hits, but if you do take hits, they’ll still be negated by the high HP you have. Though, like the first build, it will be hard to level up alone without the help of Str lapis since you’ll be dealing little damage. As with the first two, Wis lapis is useful here.

Fighter

3 Str 2 Dex – In my opinion, this is the optimal build for a fighter. You’ll do well in solo, and well in PvP. You’ll have a strong presence in battle, especially against mages and priests that will find it hard to keep up. The disadvantage is you might need a priest as a back up because you’ll be lacking a bit of hp, but Rec lapis should fix this.

3 Str 2 Rec – This build is a good build as apart from being a fighter that can do well in battle alone / in a small party, you can also tank for small AoE parties. You won’t be as good as a defender, but you’ll be more valuable in party play. On the other hand, this build might make you miss a bit, but as with the first build, Dex lapis can fix this.

Mage

5 Int – Optimal Build in my opinion, but I might be a bit biased . Will deal a lot of damage and you will be very valuable in parties, especially AoE. Though you can still be valuable alone. Only disadvantage is it might be a bit expensive to keep up since you’ll need both Wis lapis and Rec lapis for higher levels, while most other builds only need one type of lapis.

4 Int 1 Wis – Deals less damage than the first build, but has more MP. Very valuable for AoE parties between the 15 – 30 lvl, since the amount of Int that was lost is minimal, but you can always cast an extra spell than the 5 Int mages, though might be a bit hard when you reach higher levels, especially 40-50, since 40 intelligence points will make you a bit weaker and thus less valuable at times. Rec lapis are still a must though.

4 Int 1 Rec – Also deals less damage than the first build, but great if you don’t like parties. You can survive more often alone, though this shares the same disadvantage as the second build, except even harder. This build will make you less useful in parties of any kind since the Rec won’t be used (since there will be defenders to take the hits). You’ll need Wis lapis if you are to use this build.

Ranger

3 Dex 2 Str – A good build all round, especially if you won’t be going to PvP that often. You’ll be a good soloist, and mildly useful in parties, since Tanking isn’t entirely impossible and you can deal damage real quick, making you a useful tool for parties with Mages and Archers, since you can keep threats away and deal damage. A good thing about this is that you aren’t too dependent on lapis, though as with any other character, they will help.

1 Str 4 Luc – Same story as with the archer build. Great in PvP since you’ll be killing really fast, and to add to that, you have skills to add Luc (Invigoration) and skills that will always grant you the first hit (Stealth), which can be deadly against low HP characters such as Mages, Archers and Priests. Disadvantage is the same as the archer build. First few levels will be a bit hard, though it’ll pay off in higher levels. As with the archer build, Dex lapis are a must.

Priest

5 Wis – Most valuable priest in a party, especially AoE parties. They can heal very often, and they can also buff very often. A good thing about them is that they also aren’t overly dependent on lapis, even though Rec lapis do help. Bad thing is that they are not that good when it comes to solo. Without a party, it might be a bit hard to grind.

4 Int 1 Wis – Known also as battle priests. Also very valuable in AoE parties, since they can serve a double role. They can play as that missing mage (since the AoE attacks they have hit a bigger range), but can also play the party healer. The bad thing is that they might not be able to do it as good as the dedicated builds can. A 5 Int Mage will be better at AoE and a 5 Wis Priest will be better at healing, though it is certainly the optimal build if you plan on doing solo. You’ll need both Rec and Wis lapis’ for this build though.
